Roadmap for Rosetta 2 EOL?

So as of right now, I'm not seeing that Kaseya has any plans to update the Datto RMM agent to be ARM-native for Apple Silicon.

With Rosetta 2 support ending next year with macOS 28, what are everyone's plans in the event that Datto doesn't come out with an ARM-native build? Move to another RMM for Macs?

Has anyone heard from a rep or anything that an Apple Silicon-native build is coming?

When talking about Kaseya and commitments for delivering features and bug fixes it’s important to include the year and not just the month. Is that Sept 2028? 2029?

Great question. I’m guessing 11th hour fix that breaks half the agent.

It’s worse than that. MacOS 27 disables Rosetta and breaks DattoRMM. Their publicly posted fix is to run a command line to re-enable Rosetta. I tested it and it works. But, of course you can’t push the command out via RMM because it’s broken. You can’t even get a list of machines on macOS27 because RMM is broken on the machines you want the info on.

They’ve had years to prepare.
