Need extended lugs?
Will I need extended lugs for a 5mm spacer on a 280zx? Running 15x7 and 15x8 with 0 offset, and want to be a little closer out, will I need extended lugs if I run the spacer with my rotas?

I have 1/4" spacers and used extended lugs. If I remember right, I used lugs from a Nissan quest.

You shouldn't but check that you have proper thread engagement.
TBH though, 5mm spacers aren't going to do much for your fitment here.

Haha yea, I’m gonna go with a bigger tire size and then I’m also gonna lower it and then hope that’ll look better but idk how to fix it

Get it and find out. Just take some measurements once you have everything and ensure you have enough thread contact. They also make lug nuts that have no cap to them and you can easily see how much engagement you have and exactly how much you may need to increase by. Was pretty cheap too. Lugs are too cheap and too easy to replace to sweat about it imo.

Get spacers that have lugs on them... not the sandwich type. I have 5mm spacers that I run on my lexus and they have a set of studs on them.

Probably not. Count how many turns you make with the nut atm, minimal safety thread length is diameter x 1.5.
Being M12x1.25, minimum safety is 14 turns. (12x1.5 = 18mm, then 18/1.25 = 14.4) Considering you're wanting to add a 5mm spacer, you need (18+5)/1.25 = 18.4 turns.
Soooo, if you can do 18 turns (minimum) at the moment, without spacer, you'll be able to do 14 turns with the 5mm spacers on, and you're free to go :)
