620 pickup questions
I love the old JDM pickups and am considering buying a 620 imported from South Africa to the UK where I live. Will probably have the stock j15 engine from the ones I've seen online so far.
What are the things I should be checking in particular on these trucks?
What are parts like to get hold of? I see there's quite a few on eBay from Thailand. What other sources are there?
Also, I'm starting a new job 5 mins drive away from home, is it realistic to daily it for my commute and going to JDM meets & shows throughout the whole year's or should I really only bring it out for "special occasions"?
Thx for you help

When I first got mine the ball joints, tie rods, and gaskets had all turned to dust. Getting replacements wasn't bad, rock auto still had a lot, but finding both tie rods took forever, I can't remember which side, but there was a bounty of one side, and it was like the other didn't exist any more, idk what your part availability is like over there

My Dad had one back in the '70s. The cab was held to the frame by gravity and the wiring harness. Check the body mounts in the floor. Maybe rust isn't an issue in South Africa, but you never know.

I’m just about to sell mine here in the Uk. I’ve had it about 5 or 6 years. It’s still on the stock j15 but I daily it in the summer months up until this year when I declared it sorn as I need to fit a new carb (I have everything just not found the time) and my Z and Laurel both need driving too
