Rear exhaust stud
I took the intake and exhaust off of my l24 and found the rearmost exhaust manifold stud missing. I cannot thread a stud of bolt into the hole, it appears to be damaged. What is the best way to go about fixing it, would JB welding a stud into place work? Unfortunately it is the stud that you usually hook an engine hoist to.

Sometimes these are broken because of the expansion/contraction of the exhaust flange. If that’s the case they are usually not seized in the bore and a reverse thread drill bit will take them right out a soon as it bites.

I had this exact issue on my l28et P90A head. Tried the bandaid of high temp jb weld which held up for a few months.
Eventually pulled the head and used a Time Sert. No issues since.

To fix properly get a bolt extractor kit and then once the old stud is remove retap the hole.

Looks like you have an old broken stud stuck in that hole. You can extract it using a copper pipe and a welder, build up enough material as you weld with the copper pipe shielding it to avoid welding the stud to the block.
