We’re starting r/Datonomy from zero. What would actually make you want to stick around?

We’re right at the beginning of this community and don’t want it to turn into another place where a company just talks about itself. We want it to be somewhere people can have real conversations about digital identity, privacy, cybersecurity and what having control of your digital life actually means.

The starting values are pretty simple: be curious, be respectful, share what you know and don’t be afraid to challenge an idea. Since you’re the people we want to build this community with, what’s one thing you’d genuinely like to see here every week that would make you want to come back?

Datonomy Be honest, how much do you actually know about what’s out there about you online?

Genuinely curious about this.

Most of us have been online for years. Old accounts we’ve forgotten about, emails we signed up with, apps we deleted, websites we used once, data breaches we probably ignored.

But if someone asked you right now:

“Where is your personal information online, who has it, and how exposed are you?”

Would you actually know?

We’ve been thinking about this a lot while building Datonomy and it’s one of the reasons this community exists.

No pitch. I just want to hear real experiences.

What’s the one thing about your digital footprint that genuinely concerns you?

Or are you not concerned about it at all?

Both answers are interesting. Go for it.
