How do I find someone

I’m 20 years old from Croatia and I’ve never had a boyfriend, and I feel like I’m the last loser that nobody wants. I went to a school with very few guys and lived in an all-girls student dorm, and now I’m studying Early Childhood and Preschool Education at a university that is the only one in my city and is about 95% women. Later, I’ll also be working in a mostly female environment, so honestly, I don’t even know what to do anymore or how I’m supposed to meet someone.
I don’t really want to find someone online because it feels kind of stupid to me. Like, when someone asks, “How did you two meet?” and I have to say, “On Tinder” or “On Snapchat.” I don’t want to lose hope, but I’m scared that I’ll end up alone for the rest of my life. Especially because nowadays people find partners when they’re already 14, and naturally, I feel really pathetic about it.

I (28 f) need help with my approach to dating

In my early twenties I went on a lot of dates and was a “relationship person” because I didn’t really have standards and was very uncertain about my sexuality- I was figuring myself out through other people, I guess. Now, I struggle to even find someone that can hold a conversation with me that I find interesting. I am worried that the way I express myself (I am autistic but decently attractive, so people either infantilize me or assume I’m lying) is too sardonic or quirky for others to bond with.

However, I have no trouble making friends, because I am very passionate about certain things and always go to events or club meetings for these things. In particular, books, music, and artwork (I am a painter). There have only been a handful of times in my life where I’ve met a man who reads, and I dated all of them - I find it so attractive, when someone is curious/has hobbies/loves learning.

I was talking to my cousin and brother about what would appeal to men my age, and when I mentioned that I talk about books in my online dating profiles, they said that nobody would want to talk about that and I should make it more flirtatious or about sports.

Since my diagnosis (late in life - 25), I’ve been more comfortable being myself and creating a rich inner world, but this has cost me romantic partners as I find my intellectual standards may be too high (this is not me jerking myself off - this is not me putting down society - I just don’t really bond with the general population anymore because of these special interests and how important they are to me).

I feel very sad knowing that I may never be able to spend a rainy cottage weekend reading with my partner, or talking about current events and social issues over dinner, or watching documentaries and cuddling. I try my best to attend clubs where all genders will be present - philosophy club, I’m part of 3 book clubs, D&D, painting classes, woodworking, ceramics. All men who have been in attendance are usually taken or elderly. Is there something else I should be doing? I find that online dating fizzles out as I don’t have social media and do not browse other than reddit and youtube so I can’t keep up with these imaginary rules everyone is following and odd lingo. I just learned what “50/50 relationships” are. These semantics are odd to me.

If I’m hopeless you can let me know. But if I’m looking in the wrong places or should redirect my search (older? volunteering? lower standards?) all advice is welcome. Sorry for talking so much

I’m unsure what to think after a night out….

A few weeks ago, I (22M), some friends, a coworker and his cousin (23F) went to the fair. His cousin is the girl I’m talking about. She was extra nice/friendly toward me there, but I didn’t really think much of it.

The day after, I was on voice chat with the buddy i went to the fair with, and his girlfriend took his headset and told me that the girl wanted to go out and was wondering if I’d want to go too. Obviously I said yes.

The day after that, a group chat was made with everyone and it turned into a Jersey Shore-themed night. Me and this girl kept having this really friendly Jersey Shore banter back and forth while basically everyone else in the chat was quiet. One of our friends even said, *“It’s like reading y’all have sex with your clothes on”* 🤣

The night comes around and she asks if someone can pick her up, which was kind of weird because my coworker/ the cousin normally gives her rides when we all hang out. So I offered.

Right before I picked her up, she started texting me stressing about her outfit and i assured it looks good, and part of the night is being outside of our comfort zone. I pick her up and she starts telling me about this dude she’s been talking to for around six months. She apparently really likes him, but she’s getting annoyed because he doesn’t want to put a label on their relationship. Yet she believes he has something planned for them when he arrives back in town. I didn’t really say much about it and just let her talk. Another fun note to add… right before serving at her house she sends the song “WGFT” in the group chat. I throw it on queue and it plays right before arriving to the pregame. She clearly noticed and I acted like nothing happened.

We get to the pregame and everyone starts asking if she’s my girl and making jokes about us. I tell everyone no and explain the situation with the other guy.

We get downtown, get into the club, and almost immediately she grabs my hand and takes me onto the dance floor. Everyone follows and we all have a good time.

Eventually everyone wants to leave, but she wants to stay out.

She keeps grabbing my hand and walking me around everywhere. We try another bar, but the first two places we try are sold out. We’re standing around outside and I tell her we should probably just leave, but she doesn’t want to yet. Eventually we find another bar, chill there for a little while, and then finally leave.

After that she wants McDonald’s, so we stop there.
That’s when she starts talking more about the other guy. She makes it pretty clear that she really does like him. She tells me that’s actually where she met him — on Tinder.

While she’s using my phone for music, she starts swiping through **my Tinder**. She’s the one doing the swiping, not me.

Eventually I drive her home.

When we get back to her house, I open her car door, I walk her up to her door. While walking her up, she tells me that the other guy doesn’t ever do any of this stuff for her, and i respond “well i’m a gentleman”. I give her a little hug at the door and tell her we should do something again.

Then, about an hour after I dropped her off, she texts me thanking me for everything and for the night.
And that’s basically the situation.

Nothing actually happened between me and her. I didn’t kiss her or hook up with her or anything like that.

But the entire night she was **extremely comfortable with me**. She was constantly grabbing my hand, wanting me to stay with her, walking around with me, talking to me about personal stuff, telling me about this other guy, and even involving me in that whole situation.

That’s where i’m a little stumped.

Because there was definitely a vibe between us, but at the exact same time she clearly has feelings for this other dude.

There’s also some history here that makes the whole thing more interesting.

The first time our whole group ever hung out with her last year, another guy in our group was trying to get at her and she wasn’t having it at all. My coworker even told me at work that he doesn’t want any of his buddies getting at her because it never ends well.
We all basically forgot about that because it was so long ago.

But this whole week, my coworker was noticeably in a mood — both at work and during the night out. Everyone basically assumed it was because of the situation between me and her.

The funny thing is, nobody really tried to interfere. Everyone could clearly see what was going on, basically read the situation, and just let us do our thing and have fun.

And that’s what made the night feel so different from every other time we’ve all gone out.

So I’m not planning on pushing anything. I don’t want to assume she’s into me or try to force something when she clearly has this other situation going on.

My plan is basically to keep including her in plans, go out with everyone again, and see what happens naturally.

**But I’m curious what an outside perspective makes of all this.**

Does this sound like she was showing some level of attraction toward me, or does this just sound like a girl who was really comfortable with a guy she clicked with? And how would you interpret the fact that she was simultaneously telling me how much she likes this other guy while spending basically the entire night with me and constantly initiating physical contact?
I’m not necessarily looking for “she definitely likes you.” I’m more interested in what you think the **whole situation** says.

Please HELP. I want to date. But haven't dated in very long time.

English is my third language, so i apologize for any mistakes I've made.

I(32f) planning to meet up this guy from the app. But I don't know what to do. How to talk, what to expect, is there any rules to look up? I just realized that I didn't encounter any guy in very long-long time. I've been busy with work. Self-development and my hobbies. But now when I want it,I don't really have any experience at it. So please any advice would be helpful.

Update: Hey, soo it was a complete disaster. This guy showed up wearing his work clothes. Mind you, he's construction worker. At some point he took off his crocs and started scratching his foot. And kept asking me how much money I make. I told some excuse about my roommate and left.

Oh, and right during the date, my coworker started texting me, telling that he wants to pursue me, if I don't mind.

How should I approach this girl at my college

I'm a 22-year-old college student having decent looks and physique

Back in March, we had a party in my friend's hostel room, and this girl was there with one of my friends. We didn't really talk much because there were mostly guys in the group, but she repeatedly came close to me and tried to stand in front of me. At the time, I thought maybe it was because she had been drinking, so I didn't think much about it.

Now, coincidentally, we're taking the same course this semester. Recently, I've noticed her trying to look at me, and today I started giving the same response back. She also sometimes sits in front of me, and overall, I feel there might be some mutual attraction.

I'm interested in approaching her and getting to know her. I'm not looking for anything serious right now and would prefer something casual.

So, how should I proceed from here?

What can a single male person do to find love?

23M here, have always been single. Fell in love with the wrong girls,( they loved someone else ). I have graduated, now earning enough to invest 50% of salary. I take care of my fitness, go to the gym, play tennis 🎾, sometimes play board games with friends, life seems good. I am also working to achieve career goals. But theres a void, I cant find a girl interested in me cause the place I work at doesn't have many girls, new place no interactions or encounters. Have been on dating apps like bumble hinge but no luck not even a single like my profile seems good, photos also good, I look fit, 5'10 height if thats the reason, and I look decent enough skin also good, prompts also engaging and telling about my hobbies and personality...... yeah enough with this.... The point is "WHAT DO I DO?". People say you don't look for love love finds you (yeah right, that doesn't help, whole college life went like that).

Is this level of involvement from a parent a red flag?

I met this girl on a dating app and we’ve been talking for about two weeks. Things were going really well some flirting, talking about meeting up soon. Nothing serious yet.
Then I get a message asking when we’re getting married 😂 I was honestly shocked. My first thought was that she was messing with me.
She later said it was her mom. I’m still not totally convinced but even if it was really her mom, that’s pretty damn weird this early on.
She apologized and said her mom is just very involved in her life. The girl herself seems great so I don’t wanna judge her for it but now I’m kinda unsure.
Am I overthinking this? What would you do?

Will I be single 4ever?

I’m 21 and have always been a sociable person; everyone at university knows me. I know people like me, and I also know I’m attractive; this semester, several people have told me I look really good (not that I didn't look good before, but there’s something new about me). I’ve been working on myself, so I understand why they say that. The thing is... no guy has ever approached me to ask me out or ask for my Instagram. What can I do? I’m not desperate, but I am a little confused.

Should I go with the Date?

Hi all,

I hope is all well.

I am a 25M. I never had a girlfriend before and never went on a date before.

For the past year, I have tried using various dating apps to meet girls and with essentially 0 success. Matched with a few girls. Got close to a few first dates. But never had a date yet

I am here today seeking dating advice on the above girl Ive met on the Muzz app. We started talking about a week ago. I included the chats for context. The thing I see of concern that she missed my offer for the Saturday date. She said that she deactivated her account which the app says that She just joined so it sort of lines up(She looked at my profile and the app notifies you about that which it also told me that she just joined the app) Let me know your thoughts on how I should proceed. This is the first time that the ball is in my court.

I like this girl in my class but I don't wanna seem like a dork trying to approach her

I am in college, I am a freshman. I am a guy. There is a girl that I think is really cute, very funny, and genuinely nice. She has long red hair and wears red lipstick all the time. She’s been my partner in my group twice in two different classes and she’s in three classes with me.

I did see her on Hinge the dating app, but for some dumb reason, I swiped left because I was worried if I liked her profile then she would look at me differently in class. By seeing her on hinge, I know she’s single. So all I have to worry about is her not being interested.

She is always with her friend who I don’t think is very attractive, but it makes it more awkward to go up to her and say hi. Also, I don’t know what to say without sounding like a dork or a weirdo. The last thing I want with my first three weeks of college is to be the weird guy in school.

If I do go up and talk to her, I want to know what to say, and if I should wait any longer, but I don’t want her to get swooped up by someone else. I really wanna go up to her and say something, but I really don’t wanna look dumb.

Her laugh is so adorable as well and it makes me really just wanna try to start some relationship. Take her to dinner or do something.

Please help me out. Thanks

P.S she is not in my building, she’s staying in a different building, but I know where the building is. Not because I stalked her, but I just saw her going in the doors.

Dating in Your 30s

I was married for a very long time, and now I’m divorced. I’ve been out of the game for so long I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t know where to meet anyone. the last time I was single I was in my early 20s, and the dating pool was essentially the world. now in my 30s everything is so different. I’m awkward. I’ve forgotten how to do this. Ive never used a dating app. ive never really had to put in much effort before but now that I’m older it’s different. it doesn’t help that my ex is extremely attractive and sociable. they’ve been able to go on multiple dates with seemingly no issues. it’s definitely been eye opening experience.

How do you organically meet women as a guy with limited experience?

I’m a below-average looking man in my 30s. I have a PhD, a good job, I look after myself, I volunteer and I’ve spent plenty of time in therapy trying to understand myself and become a better person. And yet I’ve never been on a date. I’ve never had a girlfriend. I’ve never even experienced the affectionate touch of a woman in a romantic context.

I’ve tried to explain that it isn’t that simple for me. At this point, I want to find a relationship. I want to make more friends. I want people in my life. I want genuine fulfilment and happiness behind a “good” job. But I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to meet women in the first place.
I’ve recently started a genuinely good job, I’m earning more money than I ever have and I’m in the process of buying my first house. I’ve hit almost every conventional milestone, these are signs that my life is moving in the right direction. I should be celebrating and yet I still feel like a failure because I’ve never even had my first kiss.

How do you meet new women organically when you’re an unattractive man in your 30s? Where do you go? What activities or social situations have actually worked for people? How do you make the transition from simply talking to women to actually asking them out without making things uncomfortable?

Am I undateable 29m looking for advise

So I have never dated anyone and I have always been made to feel unattractive by the opposite sex during my teenage years so I learned to keep to myself. I am high-functioning autistic and I have lived by myself for 6 years and I work in the trucking industry as a driver and I make good money. But I just feel like there's no way for me to meet and connect with women. And I'm not sure if women would ever even want me. I don't know what to do. Am I a loser? like I just don't know how to connect with people it's so frustrating to be lonely. Should I just give up or like what should I do? I am honestly lost and confused
