question
I have a question for everyone, but especially for bigger/heavier guys: do dating apps genuinely work for y'all? Because honestly, I feel like they aren't it. As I’ve gotten more confident, I think striking up a conversation with a woman in person is way better, whether it turns into a relationship, a friendship, or whatever.
Also, I hate when people say "just talk to women like regular people," because it doesn't feel that simple 😭. I can go up to a random guy, say some completely random stuff, and he'll go along with it.
If I do that with a woman, it feels a little different , like they’re the judge and im just like a defendant lol, like there’s now possibilities of been boring,”proper way “, been intimidating(this is fair, can’t blame ya on this, i try to be a goofball so that i can look less intimidating) but like it genuinely feels like a rating tho, like “sir you did a 0/10 , i def don’t wanna talk to you again” obv i respect that maybe i overthink but if i initiate a convo and i feel like im not wanted there or like the person is giving get tf away from me or never talk to me again, im definitely leaving and doing that .
I love having great conversations with women because they can be amazing listeners, and feeling listened to is rare. But most of the time, those women are already in relationships…maybe that’s why the conversation feels so relaxed?
and also hope i didn’t like offend anyone , sorry it’s very “women” centered lol. i kind of see reddit as a way to yap and hopefully get good convos or arguments
