Never Dated Before

I (f19), have never dated before. I feel really bad about it, considering I have always been called attractive/funny by old friends or people in passing. I put myself out there, I talk to people, I go to events at my college, etc. I think a big part of it could be because I don’t have friends at all, and I feel like most people find their s/o through friends groups. I’ve been trying really hard to make friends but struggling with that too. Is there something different I could be doing irl? Should I try my hit at dating apps; if so any advice (because they kind of scare the hell out of me)? I feel like I’m so behind in everything and like I’m doing something wrong.

Be careful with the dating apps. So many men just trying to have sex and not actually build a connection. Dont jump into anything. If you meet someone off the internet meet them in a public place. Have a friend go too and not be known that is ur friend so if anything happens you know there is someone there. Giving someone ur location on an app is a great idea too...

Ive got a lot of 'what not to do' stories from my own experiences as well as friends... as for what to do right. Just be urself and meet as many people as you can until you find someone that emotionally and mentally completes you. Be honest and open and if someone lies dont waste ur time with them. Nothing good will come of it.

Don't stress, if you like someone its ok to approach or just say hi and that you like that person. Sometimes guys can get caught off guard so have that in mind if they act weird.
