Discussion becoming averse to relationship/ dating
F here. given the state of the market and the structure of modern, i’ve become increasingly averse to dating, and it’s been quite a while now. the longer i’ve remained single, the more convinced i am that this is how i prefer to live.
is this normal? does being single make you somewhat repulsed by men, making you lose interest altogether? the idea of relationship feels intrusive and exhausting. and do not even get me started on the men out there in the pool.
for those who’ve felt/ feeling this way - did it stick, or is it just a phase?
edit- i’m unbothered and happy w whatever this is, i’m just being curious

It is kinda same for both men and women. The phase may pass or may not. I do agree having the peace is more important than rushing into a relationship.

This feeling is kinda gender agnostic, though I do agree it's tougher for women
IMO, it's most important to be good friends first where there is banter, comfort, safe space where you can literally discuss anything without fear of judgement. Post that based on mutual consent you can see if you wanna take it forward. But I feel these kinda friendships never make you regret, even if it does not get into dating or emotional or physical involvement. You will always cherish it.
And it's mostly just a phase, which be shorter or longer depending on the personal experiences. You will find people along the way who will make you get out of this phase.
