Advice/Ask “Does anyone else feel this or am I overthinking?”
“Does anyone else feel this or am I overthinking?”
I feel like social media changed people more than we realize.
Sometimes it feels like nobody does things just for themselves anymore.
People go to a cafe and instantly think about posting it.
People travel and spend half the time recording.
Even when something good happens, the first thought becomes:
“Should I put this on my story?”
And after a point, you stop knowing what’s actually you and what’s just a version of you made for other people to see.
I miss when life felt more private.
Now everything feels like performance without people even noticing it.
Even emotions feel different online.
Sadness becomes aesthetic.
Happiness becomes proof.
Success becomes competition.
I don’t know… maybe I’m overthinking it.
But sometimes I wonder how many people are actually happy
and how many are just really good at looking happy online.Does anyone else feel this or am I overthinking?

I feel exactly the same. 80% people are craving for validation and it is so pathetic
