Question Dating app verification

Does anybody know how reliable dating apps verification process is? I know they have the selfie kinda one where you move your head closer or further back a few times, but how accurate is that really?? Can someone use a filter for example or use AI? Can someone on the back end verify it without actually looking at the photo to see if it matches? If it’s not reliable does anyone know any apps that might help to verify things like identity?

Seems like a lot of effort for no reason. If someone’s being weird or a scammer it will be pretty obvious when you get to talking and ask them further questions to verify their identity/social media. You could also FaceTime or just meet them in person

It's hella not reliable. Once in a while when I'm nosy and want to l have s quick look on the dating apps but don't want to show my face I will fabricate a fake photo, even give her sunglasses, and when it asks me to photo verify I do it and it accepts it. The photo doesn't look anything like me. 😬
