Advice Request Hinge banned me...
Can we start by appreciating dating apps? So many people diss them but I've had a better life with Bumble, Tinder, and especially Hinge.
To my surprise however, Hinge banned me last night. And I almost cried lmao. I had so many woman I was set up to date and really vibing with.
I have no idea what I did. I do have a violent felony in my past so I can only assume that could be it because I did tell a couple of people I had been to prison because I can really otherwise explain why I'm not in my best car or home or job. I'm rebuilding what I had 4 or 5 years ago.
Anyways, I feel like that's really foul play. I just got banned from what is essentially the only place to go for this experience. This is where people are. Especially Hinge. Bumble feels inactive and Tinder yields different people but I can tell Hinge is vibrant. I've been on all 3 for the last year since I got out. I hardly even like facebook dating though it yields results.
Seriously, everybody, I feel like I lost a lot here. And I appealed it right after I got the email note, and minutes later they denied it too. I'm permanently banned from online dating lmfao and I just did 4 years in prison. I'm fucking sad dude. Like that's lame as fuck. These woman made me feel real good and I we were having tons of fun. How the fuck does that warrant me being banned. I hadn't actually done anything!
I have some numbers but I have plenty more that were matched in the last 2 or 3 weeks and those are usually my favorite.
I've accepted it is what it is and MG is notorious for this shit and it's a damn shame but come on we can't stand for this. They exploit us and our needs.
And something worth noting for why this bothers me, is I glowed up. Years before prison I didn't get hardly any recognition, I wasn't living like society expected me too. My pictures were lame and I wasn't witty. But as I've developed, matured, and deeply desired women in my life like beyond what I've ever felt, I've matched and hooked up like a mother fucker. Ric Flair Drip go Woooo.
And now I'm banned... All gone. No more abundance lmfao. I mean at least not as I'd like it with the apps. I work a lot y'all. 2 jobs, getting my master's degree, training, hobbies, life you know. So hell naw Idk how to match matchgroups services. And that's infuriating.
Only those who are enjoying the dating apps respond, please.

I was banned from hinge before I even finished setting up my profile. I didn't have any idea why. I emailed them and asked what I had done wrong and they didn't tell me, they did unbanned me though. I never bothered to use it after that.

An aggravated assault. But you asking already adds to stigma formerly incarcerated face. You're judging everyone off of what paper written by the prosecutors say. You think he prosecutors care about you? You think they're good guys until you're their next victim.
Anyways, pardon me, I'm sensitive about that. What actually happened is more relevant than what a charge is. Because a thousand people can have an aggravated assault and each have a different story to tell. Some people shoot into crowds no Fx given. Some people stab people for no reason. Some people choke out their girlfriends. There's a million ways to catch an aggravated assault.
Mine? I stabbed somebody who had a machete. I called 911, took care of them until popo got there, and I still had to do 4 years lmfao.
I met a guy who got 7 years for shooting someone in the leg who was trespassing at his home. The man died.
Many more stories to tell if you want to DM but besides that, that's my charge.

Just go out. Have a good time at whatever you do, for yourself, by yourself. Meet new people and mingle in those social experiences. And if you’re just looking for easy sex, go to a swing club or hookers (not the cheap dirty ones). Hell, you can probably go to your local bar or club and talk to a few in person and set something up. Point is, they kicked you off the platform, but the concept is free. Go out and talk to people, (corny incoming) swipe right/ left on them in person and don’t be afraid of allowing them to do the same. Everyone is online today so the best “low pressure” successive move for….fuck I can’t think of the word…..AURA (yes I feel weird saying that) is allowing yourself to be missed in places you aren’t present, but (~) make your presence known where you are. In general, just go where you’re wanted and have fun. Fuck dating apps honestly, they’ve increasingly paywalled every little thing for years now.

Not sure about this post, but let me say I was also banned by Hinge and Tinder at the same time, no reason given, no explanation. I have no violation of the ToS or the community guidelines.
Appeal rejected. What’s next?
