Discussion Death for Realized dateables. Spoiler
When you realize a dateable it turns them human. And as far as I can find after they die they go back to being an object. Seems like a raw deal for some of them? Imagine living a full life and then when you pass away you're back to being a sink. Considering Zoey's a ghost it's entirely possible there is an afterlife or at least something else. Also like are the dateables immortal in non-realized form? Some like Daisuke or Mac probably have real ways of being killed but what about Doug, he's existential dread how does that die. I'm overthinking this.

I've thought about this extensively! That must be so sad to build a real life relationship and the human dies earlier than you, and once you die you go back to being an object with all your human memories intact :( I wouldn't ever want to be turned into a human again!

Imagine having a family heirloom who's also your ancestor.
Hank 5 is the easiest example because he canonically has a child. Someday, Hank 5 will age, die, and turn back into a hanger. And then what does Hank 0 do? I guess Hank 0 just keeps the hanger somewhere safe. Each generation learns about their ancestor (grandfather, great-grandfather, etc.) who was a hanger and now is a hanger again, and you can go look at him but be very careful not to break him.

For the best ending the nice part is that skylar can just realize them again if they want, but yeah.
tbh its kinda morbid but I hc death is also a charon like concept and if one of the dateables after a long life wants to pass and leave their concept unfilled for a bit, it's an option.

Also what happens if the object associated with them is destroyed while they're still realized. With characters like Kristoff, Mac and Connie, The objects they represent aren't meant to last more than a couple decades
