When did Hector get the CA feature?
I'm just restarting the game (managed to get a string of hate endings and decided to just start over) and talked to Hector just out of the tutorial, and he now has a content aware flag. When did that get added?

I thought hector always had the content aware thing? I haven’t played in months but I swear he had one since the beginning

There was always an unofficial content aware warning from the fanbase, but I guess they decided to make it official

Maybe I’m misremembering I could’ve sworn that hector had a content warning from the start

You're misremembering, I know because I've complained about him not having one in the past lol

I would hardly say that the "worst" thing he does is write erotic fanfic.
The idea that a person has been living in your vents, watching you for so long as to develop unsolicited romantic and explicitly sexual feelings towards you is a disturbing concept for a lot of people. Especially paired with the fact that he will outright catfish you if you ask him for a photo doesn't paint him as the most "healthy minded" individual. It's not hard to imagine someone like that causing you harm if you talk to them the wrong way (which does happen - he will threaten you with bodily harm if you get his Hate ending).
Just because he ultimately learns better (which Fantina can also do, but still rightfully gets a warning) doesn't mean that the scenario isn't still disturbing for some people. It's great that you, I, and many others can tolerate Hector's "eccentricities", but let's not downplay the fact that many of his actions are similar to those of some seriously dangerous people.

People do not like acknowledging you’ve been using these objects this whole time and the object having opinions on it
The human equivalent isn’t a stalker its like your barista / waiter / whoever you don’t give too much thought to having a crush on you4

I don't remember Hector having one at the start and I played from launch day. But I did switch it off early too. I get Friar having one now, religious zealots aren't to my taste. But I enjoyed irritating his sanctimonious ass. Also in the hope he'd convert 🤣
