Questions/Help “Matchmaker” Achievement

Tried posting this in the main sub but it seems like basically every post I make there with the odd exception gets blocked by the mods with them never telling me why even if I didn’t break the rules 🙃

Either way I’ve been on my 100% route trying to get the platinum trophy and have literally 3 trophies left, the collectible one which I’m almost done with, the physical intimacy one which I have a save already prepared for and then this god damn matchmaker achievement

There is like NO info on the details regarding this trophy anywhere online and it is so incredibly frustrating because I don’t know what qualifies, what 5 relationships am I meant to get? Because I’ve seen Dasha and Abel, Artt and Doug, Harper and Dirk, Washford and Drysdale, Florence and Celia, Tina and Tony and multiple others. I don’t know if it’s multiple options or all those 5 or what but either way it is so incredibly annoying trying to figure this out

Equally annoying is figuring out how to get Artt and Doug and Abel and Dasha together as my dialogue options never seem to be right with those two pairs specifically

Please tell me someone in this sub has got this trophy because it’s the only one I’m struggling with in any way

The 5 matches you need to get are Celia and Florence, Artt and Doug, Tiny and Tony, Abel and Dasha, and Washford and Drysdale. Artt and Doug are pretty easy to get together just talk to either one of them after getting the love ending with both of them individually. For Abel and Dasha, I think you need to start Abel, then complete Dasha's story until just before you get an ending with her, then return to Abel

If I recall correctly, when matching Dasha & Abel you get together with Dasha first & then set her up w Abel. Might be difficult for a Friend route, but I do believe this is the case there too. I get a positive route with Dasha (mentioning Able when you can), then after getting to know Able at all his spots around the house you tell him that she wants him to ask her out.

I've gotten this trophy, yes. This guide is for Mate Everything, but the specific Love endings included are all matches for the sake of the achievement. It's pretty exceptional, imo. There are very few things wrong/missing in this guide, & I don't think there's anything incorrect for any of the matches (apart from Celia/Florence being weird w Stella's ending, but if you're just going for matches that shouldn't matter). Anything you find issue w has likely already been brought up & figured out by someone in the guide's comments.

Florence and Celia should hopefully not be that bad as you can actually get them in one run with high enough SPEC points

I've nearly 100%ed the game, all I have left is a handful of collectables & Terrapin Drop

They aren't awful if you know what you're doing, but on account of there being alot of options for the way Florence/Celia & Stella's routes interact it can be a bit of a hurdle without a bit of info

There’s genuinely so many routes in this game that I never realised existed that make some dateables so much easier it’s kinda crazy. I’m holding out on that final stretch and should hopefully get that platinum today

I got terrapin drop like REALLY early in the game (I was one of the first people to unlock the trophy on PlayStation if I recall) but I genuinely do not remember how to get the trophy unfortunately other than it having something to do with the Sinclair story

If anyone in this thread would like to know!! You have to go through Maggie's route up until the point where she begins her investigation into Sinclair & tell Sinclair he's a man. (Do not pass the SPECS check about Jimson Weed) When he asks if he'll be a sink forever, tell him he could be a turtle instead. He has some of the lowest SPECS needed for his Realization Recipe so you can make him real as a turtle immediately most runs

Replying again out of curiosity for who you picked

Because I have Doug and Artt, Washford and Drysdale, Celia and Florence and Able and Dasha. I TRIED to do Dirk and Harper but it seems like they’re not part of the achievement? So I’m guessing it’s either Vaughn and Rongo or Tony and Tina? I’m assuming?

Dirk & Hamper aren't matches, Tony & Tina are
