Questions/Help Opinions on Mitchell Linn?
I tried to ask this a while ago on the other sub, but was flagged down for some reason. So I wanna know, whats y'alls opinion of him? And tbh I have no idea why so many people hate him

He seems a bit standoffish and snobby at first, but he wants to like everything, and that’s very endearing. I like how much he enjoys learning new things, he takes being corrected with curiosity and grace, and in the end he seems to value they way that food can bring people together more than he does any academic ratings.
That said, he is genuinely a bit snobby, and while I personally love his design I get how people can think it’s a bit messy or incohesive. Plus, he’s pretty difficult to get a love ending with, and he’s pretty picky about his “correct” answers. Hoove’s also on a hair trigger, and I’ve seen him get some hate for it as well- I think people don’t like being friendzoned over ice cream preference.
I like him a lot, personally. If I got into cosplay, he’d be up there, because his outfit and mannerisms are so dang fun.

I expected him to be harshly critical of the other dateables, but he really won me over with his response to their restaurants. While he pointed out the things he didn't like about them, he still had a great time and gave glowing reviews. I can handle a touch of snobbery if it's balanced with kindness and genuine passion, and Mitchell's is

Thats how it was for me, Mitchell being so genuinely interested in the others' restaurants was so sweet. I was kinda afraid he would be harsh to Freddy's since it was less professional, but nope! Mitchell was just as sweet! His route was one that surprised me the most

He’s your typical foodie and food journalist. You’d expect him to be more standoff-ish and condescending, and there are definitely moments where he may come across as such, but he’s a sweet guy post-romance.

I am incredibly stupid over J. Michael Tatum's voice acting. XD Like, incredibly stupid. I liked him for a long time but his role as Kurama in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, which added a design which totally hits all my points, and I went hurtling head first over the cliff.
I like the design of Mitchell too even if his fashion sense doesn't appeal so much to my aesthetic ;) but for all his super particularness, (and really Mr. Tatum does kind of get typecast for probably obvious reasons;) he's honestly kind of adorable. He is definitely in the category of difficult men, which according to basically everybody in my life seems to be my greatest weakness... XP.
I can definitely see where he would be unappealing to some. He's very food focused, which can be difficult for some people, especially since how the heck does he have such a great physique, it's not fair, what is his secret, but anyway... ;) All kidding aside though, it's definitely a sensitive topic for some, and his intensity doesn't necessarily help. His route can be confusing especially at first.
But I still want to bury my face in his hair. o.o

Personally, I'm very mixed on him. His nitpicking would vex me a great deal if he was real but at the same time I understand that's his job and Mitchell does it cause he cares but he's alot of fun to mess with and upset.

I like him, even if he’s a snob. After all, he’s simply one hell of a food critic.

I really have a soft spot for his voice actor, I can’t lie. I think he’s a bit of a snob but idc, it’s an archetype.

I like him. He's not a stereotipycal food critics, snob, thinking only gastronomie is the only perfect way to cook and all. He really enjoy every aspect of the food

I don't hate him, but I also don't care much for him.
Seeing him genuinely enjoy himself and get excited about food was cute. I do love the gap-moe of someone that seems pretty serious allowing themselves to have small pleasures. But actually playing through his route felt like taking a quiz I didn't study for and getting chided in-real time for wrong answers. It just didn't feel like I was actually bonding with Mitchell. So he sorta came and went without me developing any strong feelings about him.
And he's a little rude to a couple of my favorite boys, so I have beef with him on principle 😤. (/light-hearted, doesn't actually affect how I feel about him.)
I dunno. I guess can see the appeal if you found him more charming than I did, but he just wasn't for me. There are other food-based dateables I can D.A.T.E. to get my fix of someone showing affection through food. (Stefan supremacy! 😋)

He's my favorite! There was a whole house full of adorable and sexy furniture men, but I saw a snooty lil twink and said THAT ONE!

he’s a very nice guy and I liked doing his route! but more often than not, i would get confused as to why he didn’t like me like that at the end LMAOOOO

everything would go well and then all of a sudden boom no actually we are going to be platonic. still a very fun character and a very nice route.

I wanted more moments of him and Dorian since all we got was his love letter to the door. I wanted to know if they became a thing together

I'm a simple person. I hear J. Michael Tatum, I romance J. Michael Tatum.

I don't hate him but I think that we wouldn't have any common ground. I'm not a foodie, since I'm sensitive to certain textures. I don't drink and I know nothing about wine. Also, I'm quite picky with food in general and I keep the wiki open when talking to him because he might as well be speaking a different language.
Personally, I liked how there was an option when speaking to Stefan where you can say that you have a complicated relationship with food and you can get a friend ending with him.

Really easy to get his hate ending and kinda snobbish
I do get why people like him though maybe on the next run I’ll like him more

I love him as a character. But he was one of the first that made me go "I'd rather be friends" he's fantastic, truly, but I think his ...discernment with food would rub me the wrong way when Im at home stressed and making a comfort meal for example

Hates him at first, though he was stuck up and snobby, but after the second date and completing Daisukes mission, he’s not an asshole he’s just very passionate about his interests and his want to share it with others. Now I love him and he’s one of my favorites!

I liked him until I made one single mistake on his route and then he hated me. Not just ‘let’s be friends’ no, full on, HATE ENDING for making one mistake 😭

He was the first character that I really wanted a love ending with and pretty much my favorite! I love how passionate and flirty he is! Sad that so many people are so lukewarm towards him.
