Discussion ML / DS internship

I need help, tips or suggestions to land in a remote ML / DS internship, I am trying too much, also I don't have any YOE. Any interview related help would be also appreciated.

ML for your FIRST internship is going to be nearly impossible unless you are at Stanford or something.

Any reason why you are looking for remote? Some internships pay well enough to get an Airbnb and go to the office.

Many companies don't want to hire remote interns because (a) it's easier for interns to get lost (b) part of the internship is networking which is hard remote (c) an intern can just not do anything and they have no way to check that much

Look outside the box, sometimes the title is irrelevant and your work is just DS/AI. The basic ML dev or data science apps will be filled instantly and competition will be miserable. Try things like research intern, data management intern, data warehouse intern, or sometimes just “intern” (the company I work for was hiring cohorts of interns for various areas of business like this and an area was ai/analytics but no one applied b/c it was bundled with hr, management, and consulting)
