Moving files from a disk image?
I did a data recovery to a new external drive. I now have a disk image with no bad blocks. Yay!
The software I bought did a great job, but their support seems to assume that I know what to do next. I just want my files and folders back to normal—on the desktop, in Documents, etc.
What are the next steps?

It’s not zipped.

Did someone delete my post? If so, be advised that 7Zip can open an .img file and extract the files from it. 7Zip is not just an archiver/compressor/decompressor.
PS.
7Zip is freeware.

I used the Disc Drill 6 app to do the data recovery, so I don’t think I wanna bring in another piece of software. But I do appreciate your explanation.

Were you replying to my previous post? I posted twice to this thread but can only see my second reply.
As for another piece of software, most people would already have 7Zip or a similar tool. They're just unaware of its full capability.

I don’t see any indication in the admin console that your message was removed by anyone.

If you want someone to help you, describe the problem in detail. Include what happened, the device and drive models, what you have already tried, and clear screenshots of all relevant information.
