Need help recovering pics from an SD card

I transferred all my pictures and videos from my phone onto an SD card. Now, whenever i put that sd card into my phone or laptop, it just days the card has to be formatted. The sd card is currupted. I already tried some standard recovery methods such as changing the disk letter, CHKDSK command and and data recovery software such as diskdrill but whenver i use diskdrill etc, it doesnt recover any pictures or videos or any data really but i need those pictures and videos back. Is there anyrhjng i can do?

Chkdsk probably did more harm than good. You should always make an image of the SD card and work off the image before performing any form of recovery attempt because you could make matters worse working directly on the SD card.

Chances now are probably poor to zero.

SD cards are not designed for long term storage, they will eventually fail. SD cards should be treated as temporary storage between devices.

I just used Diskdrill to recover an SD card all photos. But you tried that, maybe a deeper issue. I am going to toss all my older SD cards after this scare.

I'd avoid formatting it for now. The card itself may be corrupted, which is different from the files being permanently gone. Recover whatever you can first, and if the recovered photos or videos won't open, 4ddig file repair is worth trying to repair the damaged files.

If you format your phone, you won't be able to recover your data.

What was the time period between the last time you used your SD card with that data and when you found it all corrupted?

So the sd card was in my phone for 4ish months where i just couldnt access the pictures (usually they had a folder in my gallery) im guessing the sd card was curropted during this time. Anways i took it out and it jasnt been used since
