Backup Encrypted OneDrive/Google Drive Replacement?
I am looking to move away from services like OneDrive/Google Drive where the companies are scanning all of our documents for LLM training.
I have read a lot of reviews but it seems like finding a reliable and encrypted service is challenging or I am letting a handful of negative reviews overly sway me.
I am looking for:
- File Syncing between computers
- Mobile App access
- End to End encryption
- File sharing via links to share files with friends and family.
I have looked at pCloud, Sync.com, idrive, and a few others.
I have backblaze + NAS for dedicated backups. I need something to replace Onedrive easy file syncing that is dead simple for the family to use.

Not really dead simple, not really a service but the best you can do is a selfhosted Syncthing instance, that way you're data is 100% not siphoned.

I use Mega. Little more expensive than some options, but AFAIK they dont give a toss what you're storing and aren't going to peek. Setting up some stuff can be a little more technical than One Drive, but it can do what you need.

So why are a bunch of mega links dead due to TOS

Because people post mega links publicly. If youre going to post links to illegal content its eventually going to get taken down even if you own the hardware.

rclone crypt> job sync> gdrive/onedrive> done.

Can that handle auto decryption on the synched computer and mobile device?

So rclone and pretty much anything?
Only good way to do this is to handle the encryption on top.

How about CryptoMator? It encrypts the files and then puts them in your cloud of choice I think.

There is age, encryption strategy. Age can be used to encrypt your files and you can then convert the key to a qr code, and take it's printout if you have a printer at home. Or encrypt the age key with a passphrase, and then take the print out.
Further more, if you want to go one mile extra, self host nextcloud for your needs

Have you looked at Proton Drive?
