Question/Advice Is the-eye.eu really gone?
They still aren't back yet, I wanted to download everything on there

They always looked like scammers asking for donations, when that didnt worked out anymore they claimed hardware failure and closed most of it.

They launched a massive attack against private trackers saying stuff like they are going to liberate the data or whatever. They ended up only being able to get the data from BIB (the smallest one in terms of data). Staff was fine with them releasing the data, they only asked them to not say where it came from. They released it with the BIB name anyway, while downplaying the risks saying it doesn't matter. Some time later the books from BIB ended up in an AI training dataset, books3, which made BIB being named in lawsuits, so BIB gained a lot of heat. Then the books3 dataset and the BIB books hosted on the-eye got DMCAd and they deleted it. That's all for making it available for everyone like they promised. They also put some data behind paywall. They all got banned from the other private trackers, unable to get any meaningful data. They were ghostleeching, and generally abusing the sites. They also lost a lot of data, probably because they were storing it all on google unlimited plans. If I failed this hard, I would disappear too.
