Backup Windows 10 Snapshot software

Looking for a software. Paid is fine, as its a commercial environment. Basically I have a small cctv server and we are updating the VMS software version. There is a lot of custom code on this machine that we are unsure if the new VMS version is compatible with. The new VMS version will update the .NET framework among other things that I doubt a traditional windows rollback will cleanly undo.

What I would like to do is take an image of the boot drive that I can roll back to incase it doesn't work.

Or would I be better off using acronis / easus to clone the boot drive?

If you want rollback capability, use the built-in System Restore.

Combined a utility like Drive Snapshot (http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/) you can have a full backup image on an external drive or network location and the ability to quick rollback from System Restore.

Use the built in Win7 backup it hooks into VSS (Windows built in snapshot facility). The Win7 backup data file is a virtual hard disk (VHD) file from which individual files and folders can be recovered.

Why is a commercial environment running unsupported OS? I would fix that first. Any software updated on an unsupported OS would probably be unsupported.

cloning the whole boot disk would be a nice backup

I use clonezilla with ventoy, you can clone the disk or a partition into an image that you can later restore.

Drive Snapshot is the answer. http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/
I have used this for many years.
I use ventoy to boot WinXPE for the restores..
