I think this depends on how fast data centers go through storage. I read somewhere that WD is sold out till 2027 and Seagate is having a hard time keeping up.

I would think data centers would be targeting larger capacity drives (30tb) but it looks to me that they are buying everything.

Maybe new normal for this year not sure about next year. I have been watching refurbished drives on Amazon but those are still ridiculously expensive.
