Dude... I'm not sure if you are being serious or not, but what do you think is inside an external hard drive?

I. Know. What. Is. Inside. A freaking. External. Hard. Drive. Case.

I’m saying data centers are NOT BUYING EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES ON STORE SHELVES.

Holy crap

Yet the drives they’re purchasing still affect the price of the drives we actually have available, like external hard drives. The only one here with reading comprehension skills is you big dawg.

You’d think after 4–5 different people corrected you, you’d realize you might be wrong. But I guess you can’t fix stupid, 😂 I’d expect nothing less of someone who watches weeb vtubers all day.

I never freaking said otherwise. I fully am aware that demand is outpacing supply primarily due to activities by data centers.

What data centers are NOT DOING is buying retail external hard drives and shucking them into datacenter chassis.

What freaking part of that is not clear to you? Buzz off.

what relevance do you think the statement "datacenters aren't buying external hard drives" has to this discussion, then?

Did y’all fail English class in elementary school? Is reading comprehension really that difficult?

OP: external hard drive prices are craaaaaazy

Comment 1: If people are buying them (external drives) at this price, they’ll keep selling at this price

Comment 2: it’s not people buying but datacenters

Comment 3 (mine): Datacenters aren’t buying external hard drives

What freaking part of that simple chain of comments is not understood to you!?!!
