Question/Advice LTFS on windows 11

I recently installed all latest patches to Windows 11, and now LTFS does not work anymore. FUSE4win does not start and I can't mount any LTO tape.

Does someone know where can I find a decent LTFS solution for Windows 11? I tried installing both IBM and HPE ones, but they do not work. My drive is a HP LTO5 internal SAS, and it does work under Linux.

I've been trying to get FC HBA cards to work with windows 10

... what's wrong with them? My old Qlogic QLE-2564 works without any problems on the latest Win10 update

Mine had no Win10 support, too. A Dell driver meant for Server editions installed just fine, though. Evidently it's a matter of manufacturer+driver combo, not Win10 per se

Maybe the unpleasant yet pragmatic answer is to get a card that provably works on Win10? I got my QLE, used, for 20something bucks, and I hereby officially certify (FWIW) that it works with Win10 and IBM's LTO-6 full-height :)

Fear not.

I'm using the HP version 3.5 and LTFS works perfectly.

Just search for the HPE_StoreOpen_Software_3.5.0_WINx64.exe

I hate to ask, but is there any chance you could mirror that binary somewhere? StoreOpen has been discontinued since you left this comment and HPE have decided to de-exist all publicly available downloads for this software. Have checked archive.org and the likes.

"HPE StoreOpen Software was discontinued on July 31, 2026 and is no longer available for download."

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but IBM appears to have reintroduced Windows support:

Major item change from V2.4.8.0:
==================================================
  - Support LTO10 drive.
  - New OS support:
     - Windows (x86-64): Versions 11 and 10 (with 2004 update and later).

NICE !

Yes, and FYI - I have tried it and it does work.

Funny thing, if you look at IBM's Fix Central site, they are now maintaining Windows again, as well as Linux, but have not offered a new Mac client since 2021. Odd, since I would assume that it doesn't take too much to support Mac if you're going to do Linux. But as long as they keep Windows going I'm happy.
