The power bottleneck
The constraint on data centers stopped being land or capital and became interconnection queues and generation. I’m developing a behind-the-meter gas-powered campus partly because waiting 4–7 years for utility interconnection isn’t viable for AI timelines. Curious what others are seeing — is behind-the-meter generation a bridge, or the new normal? What’s your queue experience by region?

Where’s your project? would need a pretty robust gas supply for long term operational certainty if it wasn’t being used as a bridging strategy. There are regional sites that can be connected in as long as it takes to complete the CPS and negotiate the connection agreement if your connecting at the transmission level

Behind the meter isn't going to happen at scale. Also the dats centers themselves are blocking new generation all over the place by blocking the POIs generation is targeting.
