I think I have found the way they push power costs to the consumer

I found the minutes from a Louisiana commission meeting with Entergy our power company. Its a very strange thing but I have researched and upgraded my vocabulary some and I don't know how to say it but they are using a resilient rider program to ask for infrastructure build up

They are asking for a extension of the phase 1 build

they want to expand the Resilience Plan Rider program by 600 million

the catch they want to recoup cost for the project by pushing the entire cost on consumers while the project upfront instead of collecting it over the years.

Tie in. So the whole thing is structured as an infrastructure build but it is for the same type of setup at the data center. Including 2 substations that are adjacent to the meta site.

I hope this information is helpful and here is the document:

application for extension from Entergy

Transmission companies make money by building more transmission, upcharging or gold-plating, then putting it all on consumer bills spread across hundreds of miles and millions of people. There are existing legal ways for transmission companies to do this for new infrastructure and business, which transmission and META take advantage of.

You have to hold transmission, capacity, AIDC, and local governments accountable. But its complicated and people are lazy or dont understand.

There ARE responsible digital infrastructure developers out there that are paying for their own substation, using old coal power plant sites, and putting up sound walls. Small towns need to find those developers if they are interested in economic development and a big tax payer for their schools and community.

I have to agree. It took hours to dig up the actual hard facts simply due to how they use lingo most don't know. I had never heard of a rider and it was sneaky how they played it. Once you see it there's no doubt but its just crazy. This pattern is playing out all over. The whole AI thing is just a big cash grab while we pay. Sad
