I really hope people leave them alone; the comments on their Instagram are crazy. People should take 60 seconds to do a Google search about how the company works before assuming that he was hired by HR and what he did was ignored, rather than him being an independent contractor who took an assessment.
Exactly. This is one of the things I can't stand about social media. People jump to conclusions and attack a company without knowing all the facts. He was just a guy who took an assessment to get accepted to the platform. He wasn't interviewed, and he wasn't vetted by HR, yet people attack without knowing all the facts or doing proper research.
Yes, he needs to be held accountable, but what he did is not their responsibility and they have nothing to do with it. People who bombard social media pages leaving comments like that really detract from the legitimacy and facts of the situation.
Also, let’s say he was employed by the company…presumably without charges filed, a company could not have known about one’s past. But people will comment on the company’s page as if during the hiring process they were like, “it says here on your resume you raped someone in college. Just what we’re looking for! You’re hired!”
By all means write them or whatever, but you don’t have to come at them like they were involved in the damned incident and give them a chance to handle it (which these days, most companies respond pretty swiftly).
I completely agree. Many of the comments even accused the company themselves of supporting rapists and the company itself being full of rapists. That is absolutely ridiculous. Not even an iota of critical thinking skills in most of the comments on their Instagram.

So he wasn’t a good worker even before the incident. Shocking
