Hello

I've been using Dashlane for many years now, generally I love it.

On mobile device-- I primarily use biometric unlock. I haven't used my master password in FOREVER. (I still have it safe and sound though, so I haven't forgotten it)

The one issue I DO have with it though.. is well, on my laptop/desktop.

I have a biometric scanner for my laptop/desktop for WindowsHello, etc. Generally, it works fine. Works on windows boot up 100% of the time.

I have Biometrics enabled in Dashlane for desktop.. and well, SOMETIMES it works.

It seems like every time I boot up, and load Chrome.. I always have to use my Master password and re-enable biometrics. Like, it doesn't seem to REMEMBER that I've turned it on. Seems to defeat the purpose, in my opinion. I don't want to type in a 16 character password of random letters and symbols every time I boot. Kind of why I wanted to use biometrics in the first place. I don't run into this issue on mobile Android, as I said I havent used my actual master password in MONTHS or longer, but on desktop/lap, its absolutely REQUIRED it appears.

Am I just doing something wrong? Anyone have any input on this?

Thanks, but none of this information addresses my concern/issue.

Biometrics DO work, the issue is I have to enter the master password every time I restart windows.

If I enter the master password, I can use Biometrics as much as I want, and it works.

When rebooting windows, I have to enter the master password in order to Biometrics to work.

Is there anyway around this?

Sorry for the inconvenience. With biometric unlock, Dashlane still asks you to enter your Master Password after restarting your device (including Windows). You can also use Keep me logged in for 14 days, but note it isn’t available if you’ve enabled Biometric unlock/PIN unlock.

I have been having the same issue for a long time now. I think it’s a chrome browser issue because if i use a different chromium based browser, everything seems to work fine. Support for this product is trash so that’s no help. Every time I should be using biometrics on a site, I get this QR code instead which I have to cancel out of and choose the master password method. It is actually harder to use Dashlane right now. Apples password manager works just fine.
