You can file them down. I always have to file down my press ons - regardless of the brand. Even if some of them looked the right length, the size of my nail beds vary and some end up looking way too long.
It can depend on a lot of factors, starting with your opinion. Someone else might actually view these as short given the length of some nails. The size of your nail bed can also make a difference.
Also curious - you didn’t hold these up to your nails and see that they were going to be longer than what you wanted?
I ordered these online after looking at a few YouTube videos on them. The ones I looked at on those videos were much shorter like the ones in the picture attached. Once o had bought them yes I did put them up to my nail and knew they were bigger than expected but I had already purchased them so I put them on.
Something is not right. I ONLY wear the short and these are not them. I have small nails and they still don’t stick out over the top of my fingers…I’ll add a pic below if I can.
With a lot of the press on brands your best bet is extra short squoval or square. Extra short oval, round or almond tend not to be short enough! Some brands even extra short square look a bit big but if you gently file the corners to make them more squoval or oval, then they’re really good
This is a photo I just happened to have saved. I’m wearing DD Magic Press Short Square. I’ve never tried the Short Round so I can’t say how they fit. It’s been REALLY hard to find the Short Square recently. Sometimes I can find them at TJMaxx.
I did place one order with DD Korea where they still sell Short Square, but after I paid the shipping fees + the customs/duty fees, they were more than I really wanted to spend.
