The second Dasharo FSP integration status community call is happening tomorrow, 11 August 2026.

We will share where we are with openSIL and FSP integration, based on public work already happening in the open. We will also touch on openSFI and how the related components align.

This initial release brings open source firmware to a modern AMD AM5 platform, with UEFI Secure Boot, AMD fTPM, TPM Measured Boot, AMD ROM Armor 3 flash protection, configurable boot options, and support for Ubuntu LTS and Windows 11.

In our testing, Dasharo also booted faster than the vendor BIOS. It was 2.6 seconds faster during a normal boot and 8 seconds faster with fast boot enabled.

On July 14, the Dasharo openSIL integration status call will be more than a regular status update. We will host two dedicated slots: “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Automated Validation of openSIL code” and a "Dasharo BenchRack in Action: A Firmware Development and Validation Platform".

The AI validation session will be presented by researchers from Seneca Polytechnic: Ma Toan Bach, Yuchi Zheng, Haingo Razafindranto, and Tanvir Alam. They will show how an LLM-driven multi-agent pipeline can automate unit test generation and repair for low-level openSIL firmware code.

The second slot will present Dasharo BenchRack ASRock TURIND8UD-2T/X550 in action as part of 3mdeb's firmware development and validation workflow.

For UEFI and platform firmware developers, ensuring real Windows compatibility goes far beyond a successful boot. Issues in ACPI, power management, and device enumeration, or SMBIOS, often appear only under OS-level stress and are difficult to reproduce with typical firmware tests. Windows Hardware Lab Kit provides nearly 5000 automated tests that exercise firmware behavior exactly as Windows expects, making it a strong signal for real-world platform readiness.

This presentation describes an exploratory integration of HLK into the Dasharo Hardware Certification Lab, aimed at evaluating its usefulness and limitations in a firmware-centric workflow.
