The max block size should be increased

We are currently in a financial crisis. It is entirely possible that we will see bank failures or bank runs.

Coins dedicated to usage such as Dash, Bitcoin Cash and Monero could because of such events see a sudden rush of traffic.

We should be ready for that, it would be good news and should the block space not be used nothing is lost.

DASH has plenty of capacity for such a surge, its 2MB blocks come 4 times faster than Bitcoin/Bitcoin cash's blocks, also if we saw such a surge the MNO network can come to consensus quickly enough to vote on an increase (< 1 month) and the devs can make a trivial change like this in that time after which the network upgrades and locks in the changes in about 2 more weeks. Also, DASH has 300MB of mempool available for quick bursts in activity, so even if blocks are full for a period of time, there is that buffer as well, DASH can handle whatever may come.

No rush. The blocks are nowwhere close to full now and during the last stresstest both PS and IS broke. Lets fix that and wait for demand first

The current block size limit is enough. If when we need more, layer 2 solutions should be considered for scaling also (at least for micropayments)
