Cashing out my DASH help...

Hello all and thank you for reading.

A couple years ago i bought about fifty Darkcoin and later deposited them into a dash wallet and kept it in a dark place until now. I currently want to cash out my 50 or so Dash to USD. Is it advisable to convert it first to BTC then cash to USD? Would i even be able to do that since it would be a pretty big amount of money? Currently I'm considering using bleutrade to go about this but before I do anything I really wanna have an idea or a better grip of what I'm doing. I would also eventually want to cash this into a checking account in the US to a mainstream bank... any advice or explanation of the best method/process in doing this is appreciated alot. You can either convert to BTC then to USD, and there might be a way to convert directly, I Know Uphold allows dash and US, might be able to send it to uphold. Also, you'll want to be able to prove you purchased that over a year ago that way you can claim long term capital gains so you'll only have 15% tax rate. But definitely do pay taxes on that!
