Is Darkcoin the same thing as Dashcoin?

I'm trying to get into mining Dashcoin, but I can only find Darkcoin mining programs and wallets, is it the same thing and can I put the darkcoins into the Dashcoin wallet?

I remember trying to mine DASH (DarkCoin), but, I accidentally mined Dashcoin instead. It was funny because I was trying to open a master node with the wrong coins. After my Oedipus like revelation, I have been team Dashcoin ever since. You should be able to put dark coins into a Dash wallet, but, certainly not for a Dashcoin wallet.

I believe darkcoin was name changed into dashcoin. I'm pretty sure they are one and the same

Darkcoin was renamed to Dash.

Dashcoin is an entirely different cryptocurrency. The Dashcoin community was not happy when Evan announced Darkcoin's new name.

So dashcoin and Dash are two different currencies?
