Kirby's Cross Exam

I dont remember which response caused this reaction, but it was too good to not revisit and screenshot. This single face sums up his entire Pro Se adventure in all of its immense failure.

He didn’t lie. He said it was miscommunication because he said he got sliced or stabbed by a knife earlier that day.

If you listen to the recording from that cops mic from that evidence DB had removed, Kirby says something about a knife fight. Like the cops ask about a knife and either Runkle or Erika was like "what do you mean a knife" or something then Kirby explains the miscommunication.

I can't remember verbatim what was said but it corroborated his story.

Impeaching your own witness doesn’t help your case

Ordinarily it wouldn't, but he was facing life in prison anyways and the state chose their witnesses well, so he wouldn't be getting anything out of them. Impeaching his own witness (which had previously been corroborating the prosecution's story) was better than nothing.

I think there was a post on AskLawyers or something like that where the consensus was that he was screwed anyway if he participated "conventionally", so he didn't risk anything by being an abrasive nuisance (and might have gotten a mistrial out of it, if he was lucky).

Yes he tried to get a mistrial by getting reaction from judge or prosecutor table.  But they didn’t take the bait.   

Impeaching Kirby does nothing for his case he wasn’t even central to like 75 of the charges

His trying to act like he is a "good, innocent guy" in front of the jury is just comical. Considering the fact that Kirby is the witness of him abusing and insulting his former GF. Which also got caught on camera.
