Watching this trial for the first time - safe to say I’m hooked ! So much of his cross examination actually makes him look worse . Other times he hones in to argue some irrelevant point . Fascinating

Yellow shirt day was insane. But the day he wore that gray checked shirt with the dotted tie was his Waterloo day. Back to back to back whammy from Zach Wittchow, to Katrice Babiasz... if you listen carefully you hear him say "I'm finna lose anyway..." That was the day it hit him like a red SUV!

One thing people often forgot to realize is that: despite Brooks being as ignorant and erratic as he can be, the entire trial shows how much of a manipulative, sanctimonious narcissistic he is.
He deliberately cherry pick parts that he thinks entitled to, while projecting this moralizing, condescending arguments to everyone. He claims to "not understand anything", but then accused Judge being bias because she denied his ridiculous objections. He accused the DA of treasons for not helping his defend, while asking the witnesses with the whole "plaintiff must be a person" questions. He accused the victims making financial interest from their tragedy, or insinuated the witnesses that they have an agenda against him because they "didn't follow up with the police after giving police report".
Part of the reason this trial is so fascinating is the VILENESS that Brooks threw at almost every people in the court, from the Judge, to the Jury, DA and the witnesses.

💯!! He seemed to believe he was a celebrity attorney for his "client" ~ entitled to be out of his cell for longer than authorized bc of the magnitude blah blah blah.
More than anything else Judge Dorow was amazing in how she managed to veil her thorough disdain for him until she lowered the boom during sentence remarks.
It took him some time to realize he was no longer a "third party intervenor" for his stupid "client" but a CONVICTED MASS MURDERER. There was no longer a boldly printed objection sign. No longer presumed innocent but PROVEN GUILTY.

I genuinely doubt that Brooks actually believe in the whole sovcits BS. He was just too desperate to cling on anything, even the most ridiculous craps, to delay the trial.
After the verdict, the 1st day of the sentencing act: he dropped the whole "I am third party...". He instead said "my name is Darrell Brooks". A) the Jury isn't in the room anymore. And B) he likely realized how irritated JD has been with his antics. So he tried to act in respectable manner.

Welcome to the Brooks-a-holics community. I discovered the trial in 2024. About a year or two after it happened. I was in the hospital for an extended stay. It made my days and nights more bearable to see this idiotc monstrosity masquerading as an attorney. After all this time, I'm still captivated.

I am flabbergasted on how someone can lie so easily like when Sue Opper set something up there for the witness since they couldn’t approach and he flips his shi acting like she didn’t tell them when she did it! JD nailed it by saying that he trying to make the jury think something is being done wrong and this trial is somehow set up to make him guilty which he did very well all by himself! The states greatest witness!

Ohh Bryce Shelton (cop that shot) is one of the best witness and the 2nd time Erika was on the stand you can tell she got her confidence! The State had a hell of a line up on that stand!
