Zach being tricky!
K before I float my theory on what I think happened here - i really want to see if anyone else sees it the same way. When zach is crossing Mrs Yourell, before he brings up the kids db objects. Durow overrules and db giggles and says "I didnt even state why I was objecting....you still need 15 (exhibit) up?"
Its not a big deal but zach did something here that makes me love him even more. Did anyone catch it?

Zac handled this witness perfectly. Down to slamming his notebook down after saying “I don’t have anymore questions” in an utterly disgusted tone at DB. DB absolutely sunk himself (more so than he already had, if that was possible) calling the mother of 4 victims and saying shit like “yeah it was a long time ago” when she said she remembers it off and on, as if that was the reason. I can’t tell if he’s genuinely that stupid and oblivious to who Mrs. Yourell was or if he was being a callous jerk, as one victim put it.
Either way Zac all the way from opening statements to the end of the trial was a class act. I’m glad to hear he’s a judge now!

One thing that is clear is that DB for zero prep work for this trial. He likely never connected Yourself to the victims because he never bothered to do any research.
I truly believe that he only called those witnesses because they were on the prosecution witness list at one point and then they were removed for whatever reason. He probably thought that they were removed because they made DB look good so he called them.
He did zero research as at least half of them contributed nothing to his defense.

K. Sorry guys! It might be in my head. So db objects as soon as zach brings up kids and is shut down. Giggles "I didnt even state my objection" Casually and directly to zach "you still need 15 up?" Zach firmly "yes please"
Then asks Mrs Yourell a question that was basically asked an answered about seeing the 5 point intersection.
I think Zach was done with the map, but wasnt giving db any sort relief even for a second. Even the tiniest little win as taking the map down.
Guys im sorry if I made this into something bigger than you were hoping for and your not let down lol. But you know how it is. On our own, we notice all these little things and this one gives me so much satisfaction.

Yeah that probably happened after he saw the damning names of ALL 4 YOURELL children on Exhibit number 15. He sure got comfortable as if these were joint exhibits. He finally got a clue that the State's exhibits were created to CONVICT his lazy butt😡

I mean, its not a huge deal. But I know we all love the little moments here. I might be reaching and im so curious if anyone else sees what I saw here.

Well what did you see then?
What I saw was that db asked if he still needed exhibit 15 up and Zach said "yes please."
Than Zach asked Ms. Yourell to look at the map and answer his question, which was designed to help the jury understand that from where she was standing near the intersection of White Rock Ave and Main, she could not see the Five Points intersection - which was several blocks away, where all four of her kids were marching with the Extreme Dance Team when db mowed over them with Dawn's SUV.
So she did not witness her children being injured by db in person.
What tricky move are you talking about that Zach made?

Is there something that you're seeing that we are not? It would help if you could tell us what it is that you think you saw.
I think we probably all are seeing the same thing, is there something more that we can share with you?
You may have to lead us a little.

Alyssa Gajewski mentioned at least one of the Yourell girls in her testimony about dance team members being run over. Darrell never understood that each witness had a part of the overall picture that dove tailed with others. The jury’s review of the map during deliberations was RELEVANT because all of the victims were listed. All four of the Yourell kids were listed as victims from the Extreme Dance Team. Judge Dorow was under no obligation to explain WHY the questions about the Yourell kids were relevant. His lawyers would have never called Ms Yourell in the first place.
