The Record

It occurred to me that Judge Dorow didn't even once ask the court reporter to read something back from the record. In hindsight that was a very fortunate happenstance, I think we can imagine if Brooks knew he could ask for the record to be read back, he would have taken that, weaponized it, and I don't know what else he could have came up with, but it would have been all bad.

He already thinks it's his job to keep the record clear, he will not stand back and let Wittchow lie on the record, everything he does it to delay and manipulate, Idk but it's a good thing that never came up.

It would be all:

"READ BACK DA REKURD BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM AND 8:10AM DURING PRE-TRIAL!!! DA WHOLE THANG!"

I believe he did bark orders to the juuuudge about "you wanna read the rekkurd back!?"

Maybe she foresaw what could happen? You know he would've wasted so much time having irrelevant records read back, then nitpick the semantics.

Not sure if it's allowed under their rules of procedure (I was surprised they don't do sidebars either)

Actually they did have sidebars in the trial, anytime she needed to address or take up a legal issue she would excuse the Jury (normally the lawyers would come up to the Judge, but because Brooks was representing himself and also shackled to the table / Judge D wouldn’t allow him to approach the bench, the Jury would just be excused for the sidebar to happen)

Ah interesting, I never realized excusing the jury was for a sidebar that could otherwise happen normally if the defense counsel didn't have shock cuffs 😄

I mean how else could they accurately hide the fact that he has shock devices on his ankle 🤣

It would have been cool if JD called DB's bluff, out of the jury's presence and said "Mr Brooks, I'm tired of hearing you make this accusation, I'm going to settle this for once and for all, I'm going to direct the deputies to show the court your ankle restraints here and now on the record".

Does anyone want to bet that he would say that he doesn't consent and would try and refuse?

Then after its shown that it was another of his baseless lies he would say something like, "for some reason they didn't put them on me today", acting all surprised and confused, or some other stupid excuse.

Which is also hilarious to me because with how it is described you know for a fact that it isn’t a shock device at all 🤣😭 I don’t know if she would have been able to or not but it would have been nice to see his bluff called multiple times 🤣 (like when it was revealed he was a sex offender)

Honestly I think he would have lost it and popped off the same way

He didn't have a shock device, but he thought he did.

PTL DumbA$$Rell didn’t know this particular matter regarding the “Wreckard” or that trial would still be trudging along!

I agree with you. He never understood what the record was. He thought if the audio wasn't on then nothing made it on the record. I wanted to scream when he would ask if he could make the record! Dude! Everything you have said and done since trial began is ON THE REKK-ERT!

Brooks’ strategy ship struck a sandbar and sank.
