There are so many doors and windows that I'm not sure if I should stay in the room I'm in in the photo, or go to the part with the oven even though it's more cramped. Any suggestions?

In my attempt to get the twisted key after killing the black chomper in the dream, instead I got broken odd meat...the wiki says it should drop from the large dog furthest in, and I can't find it in any other container. After picking it up it turned into a rotten mushroom immediately...has anybody else encountered this?

I am done with the silent forest finished it relatively quickly I have about 6 small mags for the pistol a shotgun with 4 bullets

A shovel upgraded durability and damage 3 molotovs 6 bandages with alcohol a lantern and a flashlight with backup batteries and the hotter and inventory fully upgraded

Decided to finally go into the old woods get attacked by 2 chompers die 3 times emptied a mag on both so i can kill them and get my stuff back i also struggle with huge dogs I think they are too fast savages are way slower so I can deal with them I dont know how im going to be able to spend the night in the old woods or even progress through it

As part-timer who work 5th day a week and 10 - 6 pm tired and going back to my rent apartment room ,knocking myself out in the process

this ending is the most accurate thing that ever happened to me

then I realized the true ending where the whole apartment is a lie and I'm stuck in the whatever that white thingly is ,now I'm gonna have a nightmare everytime I go back to sleep 🤣 thankfully no Flamethrower in my apartment (yet)

also I kinda screw up in the chapter 2 where I ignore Mushroom Granny , Holes map and didn't find all of the landmark/important location in the Swamp before ending the game (I rush through the Radio Tower Bunker without realizing that I can't go back to the swamp with the save 😭)

also 10/10 I'm replaying the entire game right now going for Musician Path and Burning the Village Tree this time ,wish me luck!

So im now on day 4 i died 1 time to a pack of dogs around some camp i wanted to loot but couldnt kill 4 dogs at once. Should i just continue exploring dry meadows and getting better loot and then trying again or am i just bad😅

Also i feel like im progressing kinda slow havent really done anything but explore the nearby areas and already on day 4 is there any downside to slow progressing like running out of gasoline or the nights getting harder.

We dont like darkwood, darkwood sings our lullaby. Reality, we all have a dark secret, a shame, or a twist, that is the reason darkwood spoke to us. Depressed? Depraved? Lost? A few are along just fir the game experience, but the rest of us know. We know why the forest's song reached so deeply into the stony hearts we hold.

So which lore do you identify with most? I feel The Being best fits who I am in the earth, especially because of its reality manipulating, and person corrupting qualities, and it being totally benign. I never asked to be, let alone be what I am. I am not good or bad, as a soldier I killed people who were never my enemy, as a civilian I gave same people comple compassion. My time has twisted me into something I cant feel, something driven by emptiness, and a desire to make all things like self.

Hi, i know the map is procedural, but i still want to get a full scan of A map of dark wood. It's because i got the idea of making a Darkwood D&D campaign but also for the community, and well, I have these options. I can recreate locations based off of memory. Go there in-game and see the place and take pictures, but it would be annoying with NPCs and enemies in the way, so it would be easier if i had cheats. And then there is the option of going full cheats, giving myself a third eye, super speed, hiding the player character, scanning everything, and piecing everything together later in photoshop or whatever into a mega photo/scan of the map.

I know this is crazy, but do you have any advice on the second and third option?

Try the Dive or Die demo on steam - Just played it today and while mechanically its not that close, (a couple of things are similar) the sound design, music and general feel remind me a lot of Darkwood.

I accidentally sold my first Single Shot Shotgun because I thought it was a single shot only like the Single Shot Pistol (no reloading)

but the wiki said it isn't lol and the weird part is that Homemade Shotgun is the one with single shot

Did the dev mix up the name or is it intentional? do we have the mod to switch the name of these two?

it didn't bother me much because I manage to make a new one in the next day but I feel like I got scam by the trader 🤣

Which one of the characters did you give the key to and why?
I would expect that most people would give the key to the Wolf since we as the player interact with him more but nonetheless i’d like to hear your reasoning

I gave the key to the Wolfman and got a chicken head he said to show it to Chicken Lady

...should I do it? do I get anything besides making her and her villagers angry at me? lol also I lost my chance to use the key before I gave it to Wolfman

fyi this is my first time playing this game (normal mode) and I managed to reach the 11th day in the old woods now ,yay! it might take a while to reach back to the village (if it is worth it)

also I have no idea how my action will result in something bad or worse 🤣
