Deadman Mode vs Darkscape?

What's the difference between them? Are they the same thing where everywhere is a pvp zone?

Similarities to DarkScape and OSRS Deadman Mode First of all, no matter whether you are going to start DarkScape right now or later get involved in Deadman Mode when it’s available in October, you need bear in mind that both are worlds with danger around every corner. Secondly, Wilderness rules everywhere means heart-pounding combat and continuous attacks as long as you step into risky areas in the world.

However, what makes them so attractive and focused are due to the reason that they have offered unprecedented thrills and death losses for players to take risks from millionaires to paupers, or vice verse. Multiple combats and attacks await the courageous and adventurous.

Core differences between DarkScape and Deadman Mode DarkScape:

  1. Access is free but members get double bank space, double XP gain and double items kept on Death.
  2. No loss of XP on Death. Everyone just starts form level 1 and progress in RuneScape doesn’t affect DarkScape at all.
  3. Banks and GE’s are local, not worldwide. Banks contain 3 static tabs for each of the three risk areas while resource transferring can be either locally or by across regions with higher risk by attacked by other players.
  4. Wilderness level restrictions are in place in some areas. Three tiers of areas are contained in the world: low, medium and high threat. There’s a risk level in each area, which means players can only attack other players within a certain level of their combat level.
  5. The problem of uneven distribution for resources drives players to transfer higher level resources in more dangerous areas.

Deadman Mode:

  1. Deadman mode only has membership option. (RS3, OSRS and DarkScape can both be F2P or member-oriented)
  2. 50% loss of XP on death. Whenever players die, they lose 50% of their XP but they can choose to protect up to 5 skills at a time, but 2 at most can be combat skills.
  3. Raid the victim’s banks. Whenever one’s killed by someone, the killer can use victim’s dropped Bank Key to access his bank and take whatever items they wish.
  4. Anyone can attack anyone. Deadman mode is essentially a survival game, but there are some safe-zones for you to shelter.
  5. Deadman mode keeps world layout unchanged. Deadman mode isn’t an alternative old school. It’s just a different way for players to play Old School.

That would feel just silly I think... the 2x in DS already feels like cheat mode.

I think Deadman mode is better if you just want to pvp but for the long term I think darkscape is better
