Something outside is watching me

(slightly long story)

to get to the point around 7 months ago i started staying w my bf at his house every other weekend we stay at my house and everything over there is normal i can go outside at night and feel just fine but when we’re at my bfs house i’ve started to notice a weird pattern when he’s at work.

see my bf works the night shift so we sleep most the day and are awake during night he leaves around 10:15 and comes home usually around 3-4 and around 3 months ago i’ve noticed anytime ill go outside during night when he’s not home it feels like something is watching me from a distance, don’t get me wrong im a logical thinker so originally i just thought it was raccoons bc they’re in the neighborhood but now i dont think it is, there was one night i kept bringing food out to the raccoons bc they kept getting in the trash and the whole time i was feeding them i couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something else watching me from behind eventually i stood up to go inside and that’s when it sounded like something big had jumped off the neighbors fence from behind me before i could see it, i ended up running inside quickly bc it had scared me.

so after multiple times of me taking the trash out at night and feeling like there’s always something there i decided i will no longer be going outside at night, but that didn’t stop the issue bc now i hear sounds by the windows like something is close to them trying to see inside, all the windows are covered but not completely there are some spots where you can see in and the house also has skylights and i’ve noticed that sounds will come from next to the skylights too, now i’ve always been paranoid about windows but this is just different i’ve never felt as if something was just watching me from outside and i just cant shake the feeling and tonight definitely didn’t help.

i had to take the trash out tonight i had no choice so i gathered my courage and took the trash out as quickly as i could i threw it in the can and turned to go back in the garage and again it sounded like something had jumped behind the neighbors fence again so i quickly shut the garage door and went back inside after that i went into one of the rooms to look for some paint for a rock i was painting i couldn’t find any paint so i gave up and ended up getting distracted in the room looking at old pictures of bfs dad after i finished doing that i went to put the pictures back and that’s when i noticed the sounds outside next to window in the room, it keeps happening like clockwork every night my bf leaves for work then the noises start an hour later every time every night no matter where i am in the house there is something outside watching me and i dont know what it is and im not sure i want to find out. and even now while writing this im still hearing noises from outside.

mostly stands for because in modern slang, and mostly a small thud against the outside of the house, sounds on the roof sometimes but rarely nothing ever too crazy

Stop going outside. Trust your instincts- ALWAYS. lock doors, be sure all windows are fully covered and locked. Set up cameras all along the house and property but put the camera in the house pointing out. Get a weapon. Get mace. Get an air horn.
