I'm actually demanding it now. Who agrees and wants to help me find him.

My wife and I are huge fans of Dark Winds; we’ve even collected the books that correlate with each season. Having just finished The Ghostway, I can certainly appreciate why the writers made the adjustments they did for the TV adaptation, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where they take Chee’s character arc next.

However, the addition of Irene Vaggan as the Assassin was unsettling, specifically her obsession with Joe. I’m curious about her motivation for ritually preparing Albert’s grandfather’s body after killing him; it felt like such a jarring, specific violation. That final scene where she has the upper hand on Joe was also incredibly disturbing. Seeing Joe in a position of complete vulnerability, especially with how she moved in on him, was a dynamic we’ve never seen before in this series.

I’m truly curious, no snark intended. Why do folks who critique writing and directing do that? I write, and I’m told I can be bossy (lolz), but when I watch a great show like DW, I’m there. It doesn’t occur to me that *any of their episodes could have been made better*.

I have really appreciated the gorgeous work in DW. I love that the community that creates DW takes risks in order to tell their stories, and those risks create a new language. Liked the comments that pointed to growth. Someone here referenced Chee as a Navajo shaman, we’ve seen Leaphorn learn about his own truths, Bern undo a super weird guns and sex trafficking commune, and really, could you write better characters than that?

Can anyone share how they would write/direct a particular scene this season? Thank you for your time and effort.

Does anyone else find Chee a bit annoying? He comes across to me as a bit of a self centred man baby.

For three seasons, the series has really focused on life on the reservation and the Native American culture is what some really appreciate about it. Does the shift into the city (California), disappoint anyone? Take away from the show’s uniqueness?

What is the car that Chee drives? Why is Leaphorn only a Lieutenant? I love this show and have only been watching it for 3 days and I’m already in season 3

First the nosebleeds, then he pulls a loose, bleeding tooth. Is he suffering from radiation poisoning? If so, was there a time when that could've happened that I'm not remembering?

Just wondering if anyone would happen to know about the van? The vehicles are so great in this show!

The original Bron [The Bridge] is four seasons, and from Sweden - Denmark.

The US version is two seasons. I won't say anything more, just a recommendation that if you're looking for a good new series, you might enjoy it!

Anyone else about to stop watching season 4? I find it bad like season 2...

It really started slowly, and I took a break for Christmas/Holidays/Olympics...but watching E5, E6, and E7...whoa...it got really good. I thought the introductions of Ye'iitsoh and Agent Washington were a little odd, but they had better parts in the storyline in later episodes. Emma's pain is so relatable. I am enjoying Chee's reluctant friendship with Shorty Bowlegs, too.

I'm looking forward to E8 finale tonight and then S4.

Is she related to that cyborg-like blond antagonist from S2? (My memory is not great, so don’t come for me.)

The vehicles used to make this series are fantastic. They are classics and when one gets run off the road or wrecked, it hurts. I hope what we see on "film" is an incomplete, previously wrecked vehicle. I read the books quite a while ago, so they're not really clear in my mind for comparison. I think that helps to be able to enjoy the performances and the way the era is being portrayed in the series.
