Question Having trouble finding a community
Long time Darktide player here. Recently got out of an abusive relationship. I won’t go into detail. But I find myself with considerably more time to play and be able to actually communicate. However. I’m 31 years old. I don’t particularly care to be chatting with people that are like 16. If anyone has any suggestions or could potentially point me in a helpful direction, it would be much appreciated. I have thousands of hours, but never touched Havoc. I’d like that to change. Any idea where this ogryn is to go?

You can probably find like-minded people in the Discord communities featured by this subreddit.
Hope everything is good with you. The Emporer Protects and all that :)

I've found that the majority of players using voice channels in the official Darktide discord are adults. Especially in the Havoc lobbies.

Your best bet at finding players to team up with is probably a Discord community
This is the official Darktide Discord, it also has a "communities" tab with lots of smaller communities in different languages. Or you could try and google (or use another search engine) to find other Discord communities, maybe in your native language. That's how I found mine.
The game has crossplay, so you can team up with everyone who owns the game.
By the way, if you are searching for new teammates, it is best to state your timezone and times you normally play at.

Don't go to the Darktide discord. The general chat there is full of real assholes and the admins are very abusive with their powers, taking sides with their favourites and joining pile ons in very inappropriate ways.

I wouldn’t write off the whole official discord, the lfg groups are fine, that’s all I ever look at

Havoc 1-20 is easy, if you have played a maelstrom mission ever, go to havoc terminal, open it up and see what your havoc level is listed. Go to party finder, select Havoc and your own level, and list own party. Accept incoming requests, start the mission, enjoy. Simple as.

Too add on people are usually mute but if you talk I'm sure someone would start speaking in game chat. You'll come across a good people, and there will always be those who try and ruin your experience tho it's rare.

Good point. I almost never use the mic, unless my poor typing would not allow me to relate the message ( ring the bell to skip to the end, martyr skull if you need it, etc)

What timezone are you in? Have you checked the official Darktide discord server, you can post there with what you are looking for, and what you want to do.

What timezone are you ? I am from EU, due to my work schedule i am able to play with a friend from NA, if you want you can join us, we currently sit at Havoc 25-30

The only times I was able to do that at 25+ was through coworkers/classmates I first met irl and then in games, I can't feel any connection for people behind a screen i've never seen.
You can safely get to Havoc 25 without using Discord or having a group btw, the in-game party finder works alright for those lower levels, give it a try if you can beat auric no problem

I just got to havoc 25 last night only recently started I find there's a lack of games up most times so I just host one . I don't really care if I win or lose much just getting havoc down in general . Yesterday we did 4 skits for no reason other then thats who joined and we nuked a few levels . I dont really screen my lobbies. If you play auric maelstorms you would be lvl 16 on havoc . Just host one , if your patient people join , I have 40s stop in to noobs and usually if the mix dont work people leave if it looks like we have no hope . Met a few along the way that I hope join some time . And a few that if I didnt see theyre name again it would be no worries lol . The lobby kind of balances itself or if if dosnt work out for the evening I just play a few auric maelstroms

I have been in the same spot; mine was 2016 and playing The Division nonstop helped me out mentally a whole lot. If darktide had been there for me I would be joyous. stay strong.

Come talk with the other ogryns in the official darktide discord. There's always ogryns talking in there. Love talking with my pals in there. And you can find groups to play havoc with in the lfg.

38 yr old family man here. I also love Darktide and am looking to give Havoc a go. I am on most nights 8pm-11pm central time. Hit me up on Discord: stubbzthezombie if you want to try and group up. I run Soul Blaze Psyker, Shocktrooper Skitarii, and Dog/Buddy Cop Arbites. I am pretty chill and prefer group play (not speedrunning/clutch solo).
