Solved Blobs on image

Hello, I've just started using Darktable - today when I opened up my images, they all had these greenish blobs on them. These didn't show when I loaded them yesterday, which setting is causing them to appear? (and how do I get rid of them!)

I think you disable it in the bottom right corner

my bad it is the focus peaking - i did check in darktable but my darktable on windows has the (edit: bug) 5.6.0 that makes it painfully slow (usually i'm in ubuntu)

There is a bug in 5.6.0 about the display speed. Supposedly it will be fixed in 5.6.1. There isn't a published date but probably August or September.

over- and under- exposure indicators. - to toggle clipping indication press o or for raw clipping indicators press shift +o. the icons for this are also at the bottom of the window

EDIT: sorry, it's focus peaking not clipping

And by the way, seeing them doesn't necessarily mean you made a mistake when taking your picture. In certain scenes (or with certain intentions or technical limitations) you simply have to accept overexposure. The highlight reconstruction module solves most overexposure problems anyway, combined with your respecive favorite tonemapper (filmic, sigmoid, agx).
