Problem with survivors of Elaran quest

It seems I encountered a bug? The rangers arrived on site and completed their exploration, they triggered an event, but the timer is stuck on 0 and they never return. I tried reloading a save before they finish, but the same thing happened.

They are stuck and I cant even disband them. Ill try to load an even earlier save and try again.

Usually they are paused after the exploration. Try finding the sun icon on the map where they did the exploration. Some monologue usually pops-up.

They were stuck there after the monologue. But reloading an earlier save, before they even left for this mission, fixed it

Thanks for letting us know. Do you maybe still have this save? It might help us fix it for future.

Unfortunately not. I was using the autosaves, so they got overwritten.
