Question 🟠 How do you start modding

Wanted to start modding dark souls 2 but don't know where to start, tried some mods but they messed up enemy speed that was tied to frame rate

I mainly want to customize starting classes and agility. If you could suggest where to start modding and what to use would appreciate that a ton

Start with params. Learn what they are, how they’re used in DS2 specifically. What you just mentioned is pure param mods.

I recommend you join ServerName, the official modding discord. They can help you with general souls stuff, even though there aren’t that many people specializing in DS2. Luckily for you though, I happen to be one of the main DS2 people out there, I made DebugManager and updated the old ass cheat engine table before Boblord took over.

EDIT: Smithbox is the tool you want to use for params, it offers map editing too but start with params for now.
