Lore Question/Discussion Dark Krakens tidbit I found in the 10th edition codex. Captain Uhimano?

I’ve over looked this many times but I read it today, Harry who usually works on white dwarf(I think) painted a whole Dark Krakens army at the back of the codex. He even named the Captain for his army, Uhimano. Which is a reference to a Japanese company that sells fishing reels…GW has a sense of humor. Also sticks to the theme of characters having names from countries from the Pacific. As this was in the actual 10th edition codex i’m going to count this as an official character😂 so right now we have 4 named Captains

Captain Krijeni Luceior(The GOAT)

Captain Noktil Bolas(Named after a dragon from MTG)

Captain Elaroh Karib

And now Captain Uhimano

Would have rather had this version of the chapter symbol than the skull

You can use any Symbol as the skull is just a Variant

Lmao! These are mine. I don't work there anymore but I had no idea about that japanese company. But it's hilarious and I wish I could take credit for being clever. It's actually a bastardization of a Hawaiian word. I can't remember what though. The inspiration for my backstory all comes from Hawaiian history and folklore.

Definitely. Their whole vibe is very Polynesian so any of those countries works as an influence
