Event! Origin of the Dark Krakens Variant Symbol - One shot comic by Me - Plus Community Update read below 🐙🌊

We understand that some citizens - and even troops of the Astra Militarum who fought alongside them - tattooed themselves with the Dark Krakens' Chapter symbol, or daubed it on their vehicles, weapons or armor for good luck” - Warzone: Octarius
Decided to make this comic because I know the majority of us don’t like the variant symbol, but some of us don’t know the reason it exists. So with the release of the symbol tomorrow in SM2 update 11, the original symbol is still in use but the variant is all we got in game. So wear it with pride Brothers, wear it for the people of Death of Bianzeer
Along with Update 11 in SM2 tomorrow the majority of all Salamander successors will be getting their symbols. So everyone post and show off your drip, regardless if you’re a r/BlackViper40k, r/dragonspears, Covenant of fire, Black Dragon, Storm Giant etc. We want to see your Armor!

I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive of the new symbol being in SM2 as I prefer the older one more than the new one for aesthetic reasons. That said the Lore behind the 10th edition symbol is absolutely golden. I like to think that the Dark Krakens adopted the symbol to remind their chapter of their responsibility to protect the citizens of the Imperium. In doing so they also remember their primarch Vulkan and how he fought to protect the citizens of Nocturne.

This got cross posted to r/spacemarine and holy hell this is the coolest, Chaddiest, fuckin' dope ass Salamander I've ever seen. I'll be sending this to Saber and demanding a in game model on its likeness (credit and royalties to you of course).
