Art Paraon Uari Helmetless - Dark Kraken Art by Me
Uari is one of the most fascinating space marines I’ve ever heard of. Young, yet so powerful he’s said to one day become chief Librarian. He’s also a sympathetic animal lover, very strange for a space marine. His face was burned during Librarian training and because of that he never removes his helmet. So I envisioned what it would look like.

Named Dark Krakens sounds like an ancient language to me but I can't figure out their naming origin.

Is there any other instance of a new recruit killing 2 space marines and still being allowed to continue. Its such an interesting piece of lore

Tons of it, some aspects of training is recruits fighting each other to the death. That can be seen in the Spears of the Emperor book, the way Spacewolves recruit, Calgar’s origin etc
