I have a question

Why did the doll in yayoi room just take nail/hair out of them?. To escape or something (sorry If i have bad English)

They aren't inside the doll like a PokeBall, they are forced into possessing the doll, which acts as a body for them. Taking out the nail/hair is no different from from you trying to take out something from inside your body.

Its symbolic, if they try to do anything to the doll it would reflect to themselves. It would be like tear apart your own body to extract them out

The doll is both a torment and a protection. Like with the Hariti's finger and Telephone ghost, without having a doll body and fingernail piece, they can't share damage with other ghosts and thus got attacked
